I got into this work because I’ve seen what happens when people don’t get the right kind of help.
Early in my career, I worked in Met Council’s family violence department and the Family Justice Center, running support groups and providing individual counseling for survivors of domestic violence. I spent years sitting with people who had been told, in a hundred different ways, that their needs were too much, their feelings weren’t valid, and what happened to them wasn’t that bad.
That experience shaped everything about how I work. It taught me how the body holds what the mind can’t always name. It taught me that patterns don’t come from nowhere. And it taught me that people are extraordinarily resilient when they finally have the right kind of support.
I also know what it’s like to sit across from someone and feel like you’re talking, but nothing is actually moving. That’s not what therapy has to be. In fact, it’s not what therapy should be. And it’s never what you’ll get here.

Tools I Use in Sessions
I draw from three main approaches, and I use them in combination because people are more complicated than any single framework. I pay close attention to what’s happening in the body, not just the content of what you’re saying. Trauma lives in the nervous system, not just in memory. Somatic awareness is woven into how I listen and how I guide the work.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is one of the most well-researched approaches to both individual and couples therapy in the world. It works at the level of the emotional bond, helping people understand the cycles they get stuck in and find new ways of reaching themselves and each other. I trained specifically in EFT because it produces real, lasting change, not just better coping.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS understands the mind as made up of different parts. Some parts carry wounds from early experiences. Others developed to protect us from those wounds. IFS works by developing a compassionate relationship with all of those parts rather than fighting them. I trained through the IFS Institute, and this work consistently produces breakthroughs for people who have felt stuck for a long time.

Attachment Theory
Everything I do is grounded in an understanding of how early attachment experiences shape the way we connect, trust, and feel emotionally safe with others. Attachment theory isn’t just academic for me. It’s the lens through which almost everything in adult relationships and self-worth makes sense.
What it’s Like to Work With Me

Sessions are warm, but they’re not passive. We’re always working toward something. You’ll never leave a session wondering what the point was.
I’ll ask questions that go deeper than the surface. I’ll notice things you say in passing that might matter more than the main thing you came to talk about. I’ll be honest with you about what I see, and I’ll always tell you where we are and where we’re headed.
I move at your pace. I build trust before I push deeper. And I never make you feel like your feelings are too much, or that you’re taking too long, or that you should be further along than you are.
You set the pace. I hold the direction.
